Production Proposal

Producer(s): Shazia Adat And Ria Dhillon
Production Title: The struggle pathway

Brief: opening of a documentary following a young female Muslim writer or is aspiring to be sitcom writer/director. Following her journey to see the problems she goes through and the inspirational people she meets.

Aim: Is to get across how the lack of female writers in television industry has effected the way how women are portrayed on the television screens. And how the lack ethnic minority writers has effected the negative stereotype that exists within the media today, for example islamaphobia.

Description of your intentions: intention is to create a captivating yet informative opening of a documentary that not only gets our message across but is also entertaining  As our institution that we are aiming to use is BBC 3 which goes with the motto "educate, entertain and inform". So by living with that motto we shall create a documentary. using different types of camera movements and camera angles to reflect our main hosts journey and view on society. Furthermore the use of over the shoulder shots to give the feeling to audiences that they are part of the interviews and talks our host will have with other people. And lastly the host will do the "voice of god" as we can give the sense of a matriarchal society and also the audience can "trust" the voice as they know who is talking.

Target Audience:
Young urban females.- due to the host and setting
 Ethnic minorities.- the host
C1/B. -the life style and also the props she uses and the way of transport
Aspirer/mainstreamer.- how the host dreams of being a successful writer
